What Types of Programs are Available in Youth and Family Services?

N.U.L.I.T.E.S (National Urban League’s Incentives to Excel & Succeed)
Experience the N.U.L.I.T.E.S. program, a thrilling part of Project Ready, where teens transform into future leaders through energizing seminars, impactful community service, and leadership development. This dynamic initiative drives academic excellence, cultural pride, and social responsibility, guided by mentors and core principles. Project Ready empowers underserved students from grades 3-12 to excel in college and careers, equipping them with the skills and resources to succeed.

S.T.Y.L.E. (Summer Training in Youth Leadership & Employment)
Get ready to unlock your future with STYLE, an exhilarating program funded by the City of St. Petersburg! The S.T.Y.L.E. program provides an expansive and immersive experience aimed at equipping youth with essential workplace skills and leadership capabilities.
The program covers entrepreneurship, financial literacy, team building, problem-solving, critical thinking, effective business communication, professional appearance, and maintaining a professional demeanor. The participants are given the tools they need to succeed in future academic and professional settings.
This year, the program will enroll twenty-five (25) youth, ages 14 to 16. The program will begin on July 15th and conclude July 31st and will be housed at the Pinellas County Urban League headquarters, 333 31st Street North, St. Petersburg. Workshop sessions will take place Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
This program is income-based, and applicants will be required to provide documentation verifying income eligibility. -
U.Y.E.P. (Urban Youth Empowerment Program)
Introducing the Urban Youth Empowerment Program (UYEP), a transformative career readiness initiative designed to uplift at-risk youth aged 14 to 19 in Pinellas County. This dynamic program builds essential employability and soft skills, helping participants overcome academic and justice system challenges. Focused on low-and-moderate income African American youth, UYEP empowers them to unlock their full potential and forge brighter futures. Applications for this program will open soon! Y.C.P.I.P. (Youth Crime Prevention & Intervention Program)
Join us in building a stronger, more secure community with our mission to empower children and families through transformative justice initiatives funded by Florida’s Office of the Attorney General. Our innovative programs, grounded in restorative justice, foster impactful dialogues and inspire youth to embrace social accountability, reflecting on and improving their everyday interactions.

All students who are accepted into the program and successfully complete it will receive a stipend of $880.
